Dominica State College Agricultural Class in Collaboration with the Division of Agriculture/Produce Chemist Lab

Over the years, the Ministry of Agriculture continues to collaborate with various institutions by providing assistance to enhance the ability of citizens in crop and livestock production and processing. One such initiative: the Produce chemist lab of the Division of Agriculture assisted 2nd year students of the Dominica State College in the preparation of Agro-processed goods which form part of their Agroprocessing and post harvest class.

The objectives include but not limited to identify proper packaging material based on the product developed,label development to include all nescessary and required information and learning the process of value added developing an agroprocessed products. The class session was three days a week for a period of six weeks, the lead facilitator was Mrs. Sharon Allicock Joseph with assistance from Mrs. Anna-Mary Alexander.
