On Wednesday April 12th, 2017, Chinese Agricultural Mission together with the Ministry of Agriculture held a greenhouse plastics hand over ceremony and helped fifty-four (54) farmers with fifty-eight (58) greenhouse plastics. Chief of the Economic and Commercial Office of China in Dominica, Wang Quanhuo, PS of Agriculture of Dominica, Harold Guiste, Head of agricultural extension department, Felix Leslie, agricultural technical officer, Joseph Blandford and Trevorne Douglas attended the ceremony.

Greenhouse planting technology is an important part of modern facility agriculture. It can effectively control the internal environment of greenhouses, such as lighting, watering, preventing plant diseases and insect pests and so on.

Under greenhouse conditions, it can also decrease the harmful effect from the environment; reduce the risk of farmers; improve the quality and production of agricultural products and ensure the stability of the output.

Stable output and high quality is the key to open the market for agricultural products.
